My first recital
When I woke up from my afternoon nap, I found a baby-baby grand piano sitting in my play area. It looks just like Mom's, but it's white. Oh, dear! I like it!!! I think I play better than mom as I can play with my hands, elbows, feet, and sometimes head...Mom says I look like Schroeder in peanuts comics.Watch me play...

I can sit up
I've proudly reached a major developmental milestone these few days - Push and sit up all my myself... I'm really excited about it and thus I'm practicing the new skill over and over and over again. For the past 2 nights, I even woke up in the middle of the night so I could practice more. Mom always says 'practice makes perfect', but somehow she doesn't seem to like this idea 'coz she laid me down right away whenever she saw me push up to sit in the crib at night. I sat up and she laid me down, then I sat up again and she laid me down again...
Last night I woke up at 2am and practiced til 4am. At one point, I felt the need to sleep but I didn't really know how to lay down from the sitting position. So, I cried... Both Mom & I were totally exhausted and I decided to sleep without further practicing. I've practiced at least 30 times today and I think I'll continue tomorrow...
Mom found me hysterical but after she found the following in babycenter.com, she let me be myself:
"Babies who were great sleepers may suddenly start waking up at night or have difficulty falling asleep between 6 and 12 months of age. Why? Sleep disturbances often go hand-in-hand with reaching major milestones in cognitive and motor development and with separation anxiety. At 6 to 9 months, your baby may be earning to sit up, crawl, or possibly even cruise or walk — quite a list of achievements! Not surprisingly, he may not want to stop practicing his new skills at bedtime and may get so excited that he'll wake up to try sitting up just one more time."

Downsizing...
I had my 7-month checkup today...and my percentile has dropped significantly from 95% to 50%!!!! Dad was really disappointed as he expected me to weigh at least 20lb, but I weighed only 18lb 11oz. Thanks to the 2 weeks of sickness that totally ripped off my appetite. I really need to work hard on it.Dr. Meyer told Mom to feed me more solid food...Yuck! In fact, Mama started to feed me real food a few weeks ago but I REALLY dislike it. Especially the green sweet pea... it's GROSS and the taste makes me tremble! Thus, in every feeding session, I keep my mouth shut REAL tight, and push away the spoon. If any food is unfortunately put into my mouth, I'll either blow it out OR dig the food out and mesh it on the new highchair...until my mom gets mad and gives up! It works almost everytime! The food will then be allocated to Laa Laa and Snowball. And everybody happy!
I'm going to tell Aris & Katie about these tricks!

Father's Day
Today is Father's day, and I really need to get dad something for his first. With the lack of mobility, all I could get him was something generated from my body. Yes - my poop.
Mom dressed me up in a nice green shirt that matched Daddy's for Father's day this morning, and Daddy was ALL excited about it. Since MaMa needed to arrive church by 8:30am, they forgot the fact that I had not pooped. As mama was rehearsing for worship, I made my Father's day gift in the nursery. But I accidentally over-made it. Some even leaked and stained the matching green shirt, and I had poo poo all over my back. Daddy was SOOOOOO disappointed 'coz i had to change and we no longer matched. But he washed & dried my shirt right away, we looked like twins again after worship!!! :D
I'm not sure if I should make a gift for Franky 契爺 since I don't really know what '契爺' means. But he gave me a really cute POLO sweatshirt as Father's day present. I'm guessing I'm his Daddy...

Dedicated to God
Today I was dedicated to God, along with Katie, in front of teacher Brenda and the congregation. Teacher Brenda explained the dedication = dad & mom will commit to teach me and raise me in God's way... I think I will try to read bible and listen to praise songs everyday from now on. Then, teacher Brenda asked dad & mom to put God as 1st priority, each other 2nd, and me 3rd. My position is getting lower and lower at home then... Glad that I still have Laa Laa and Snowball under me.Teacher Brenda also gave me a scripture to guide my life. I really like it so I put it on my blog title as well...
1 Cor 15:5
"Stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourself fully to the work of the Lord."
I was extremely sleep-deprived this morning and thus very moody. I screamed when mom picked me up from nursery before we went into the sanctuary for dedication. I planned to scream to teacher Brenda...but when we walked up to the stage, I found myself a little chicken in front of the public. Plus Katie was there with me, therefore, I changed my mind and listened carefully to teacher Brenda. Everyone said I was a good boy afterwards!!! YEAH!!!

Bonjour! Aris!
Today, I spent a day in Diane EE's beautiful house. There I met my new buddy Aris! Aris is only 2 weeks older than me, but he looks much loooooonger than me. I said "hello" to him in Cantonese, and he stared at me as if he couldn't understand me. I figured he may speak a different dialect, and thus tried hard to think of any foreign language I've learned. I knew a Spanish song from my talking toy, but all that song said was ,'Yum
my Yummy Yummy, I've got apple in my Tummy!' in Spanish. I hesitated to sing it 'coz I wanted to say something deeper than that when I met a new friend. So, I decided to just say 'Bonjour', then he laughed. I think he's a french!Mom said we're going to Taiwan with Aris this winter!!! q\^_^/p

My Treadmill
Check out my new toy from Uncle Shawn and Aunt BoBo!!! Dad & Mom call it Play Station. I enjoy it so much that I can stay in it for 45+ mins!!! My favorite part of it is the little keyboard that can play piano notes OR different sounds... I've already learned how to flip music sheets and play piano from it. Thus, mom is ordering a real grand piano for me... it's on its way!!!!!!! :DI also use it as a treadmill. I run around 10 laps per day on average. See me run in the video:
